Healthcare Data Analyst

REQUIREMENTS

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana – must be located in central Indiana.

​

We are seeking an Healthcare Data Analyst who will be responsible for tracking and analyzing key performance indicators of clinical programs then leveraging data to optimize these programs. The role will be responsible for supporting clinical leaders by conducting comprehensive research, interviewing stakeholders, collecting and analyzing data, designing and optimizing workflows, implementing operational improvements–all in support of coordinating clinical programs. We are seeking an individual who exhibits a high level of professionalism, a passion for innovation, and a business style that is scrappy, strategic, creative, team-oriented, hands-on, and collaborative.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Work alongside clinical and operations leaders to optimize clinical programs in alignment with partners’ strategic plans

  • Organize a process around clinical program evaluation, analysis, and improvement

  • Collect, organize, and analyze healthcare data including claims, EHRs, financials, pharmacy, and clinical program KPIs

  • Help lead the improvement process for clinical programs and initiatives including research, analysis, structuring, outlining, presenting on, and executing operational improvements

  • Coordinate operational changes with program and business owners for successful implementations

  • Execute a detailed work plan to implement process improvement for a portfolio of programs

  • Work closely with the Summit Consulting Team to develop and deliver key insights and opportunities related to clinical program development

  • Support Summit’s process for delivering value at every partner interaction

  • Support Summit leadership in documenting processes to create repeatable, scalable programs and initiatives

 

What You'll Need:

  • A four year degree or equivalent work experience

  • 4+ years of experience in an analytic or operational role in a healthcare setting

  • Experience working directly with clinical leaders and/or coordinating clinical programs strongly preferred

  • Strong understanding of relational databases and data warehouses

  • Experience with SQL required

  • Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • A keen eye for finding process improvements and a passion for operational efficiencies

  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to produce clear concise documentation that can be easily understood by internal and external clients

  • Ability to employ critical thinking skills and work independently while also working well within a team environment

  • Skilled communicator who is comfortable, effective, and influential in meetings with senior management teams

  • Self-starter who can thrive in an unstructured and collaborative team environment

  • Ability to be onsite with partners in Indianapolis as needed

  • Ability to travel occasionally throughout the year
